Immersed In an Ocean of Electromagnetic Radiation

We can't turn on the TV/radio, open a newspaper/magazine/book without being bombarded by warnings about anthropomorphic global warming/climate change (by the way, a multi-billion dollar industry based on psuedoscience), yet we hear nothing about the very real danger of anthropomorphic electrosmog. The earth is completely smothered in man-made electromagnetic radiation.

The pulse of the earth 7.83 Hz. The human alpha waves of the human brain is 7.83 Hz. That's not a coincidence, but the power grid, crisscrossing the country, radio, TV, satellite, pagers, cell phone, wireless networking, etc., surrounding us have almost totally permeated our environment with an invisible electromagnetic attack practically impossible to escape.
In the mid eighties fewer than 3% of all people in most of the countries were using cell phones, but if you fast forward to today almost 100% of the people are using cell phones so the question we should all be asking, "is there anyone protecting the public from the invisible ocean of microwave radiation generated from the trillion dollar telecommunications industry?" The answer is a resounding NO!

Brushing aside smart meters, Wifi, and other forms of electromagnetic radiation, the most popular gadget of our age--the cell phone-- has now been shown to damage DNA, break down the brain's defenses, reduce sperm count, increase memory loss, and dramatically increase the risk of Alzheimer's disease and cancer. The growing brains of children make them especially vulnerable, yet half of the world's four billion cell phone users are under twenty.

So, with the constant smog of man-made frequencies surrounding our daily lives and no testing as to its safety, is it any wonder people's bodies have started to react?"

Measuring Schumann resonance in or around a city has become impossible. Electromagnetic pollution from cell phones has forced us to make our measurements at sea. – Dr. Wolfgang Ludwig, physicist

Disconnect: The Truth About Cell Phone Radiation, What the Industry Has Done to Hide It, and How to Protect Your Family by Devra Davis
Davis, the founding director of the toxicology and environmental studies board at the U.S. National Academy of Sciences, takes listeners through the dark side of this trillion-dollar industry. Health experts have long been frozen out of policy-making decisions about cell phones; federal regulatory standards are set by the cell phone industry itself. Cell phone manufacturers have borrowed the playbook of the tobacco industry. One secret memo reveals their war plan against reports of cell phone dangers. Among a host of fascinating characters, Davis introduces Om P. Gandhi, a world expert on how cell phone radiation penetrates the human brain. Once a consultant to major cell phone companies, Gandhi now refuses to work with them. We also meet Franz Adlkofer, who led the multi-lab study that showed once and for all that brain cell DNA is unraveled by cell phone microwave radiation-and, as Davis dramatically portrays, it nearly cost him his career. As this eye-opening call to action shows, we can make safer cell phones now. Why would we put our children at risk of a devastating epidemic of brain illness in the years to come?

Besieged by EMF Pollution and Weaponized Frequencies

What do we know about the possible ill health effects from exposure to the transmitting antennas for our wireless communications? If you rely on the mainstream media, next to nothing. Electromagnetic (EMF) pollution (especially by microwaves) is hardly ever discussed. It's often asserted that there are not enough studies to reliably assess high frequency EMF pollution but that's simply not true. The truth is that by 1990, there were more than 10,000 publications on the danger of EMF/RFR, and today, there are probably twice that many. It's just that the telecommunications industry doesn't want to risk trillions of dollars in profit, thus the negative effects of EMF pollution are still denied by official science. Keep in mind, the cell phone industry has funded 87% of the research on this subject.

It may be possible – and tempting – to exploit for strategic political purpose the fruits of research on the brain and on human behaviour. Gordon J.F. MacDonald, a geophysicist specialising in problems of warfare, has written that artificially excited electronic strokes ‘could lead to a pattern of oscillations that produce relatively high power levels over certain regions of the earth…In this way, one could develop a system that would seriously impair the brain performance of very large populations in selected regions over an extended period.’

No matter how deeply disturbing the thought of using the environment to manipulate behaviour for national advantages to some, the technology permitting such use will very probably develop within the next few decades.” -- Zbigniew Brzezinski, Between Two Ages: America’s Role in the Technetronic Era:

Moreover, the military knew the effects of  EMFs as far back as the 1970s, after compiling 2300 studies to show the effects of microwaves on humans.

These antennas are found on all wireless communications devices, such as cell towers, WiMax systems, internet routers, cell and cordless phones, smart meters, smart boards, ebook readers not to mention, baby monitors. You can find out how many antennas and towers are located within a 4-mile radius of your address at Antennasearch.
Antennas are the actual signal emitters for cellular, paging and other radio services. Antennas can be placed on towers or be stand alone and placed on top of offices, condos, churches, light poles, signs, etc. Stand alone Antennas are small and difficult to spot as they are easily hidden/camouflaged.

Towers are tall structures (typically over 200 ft) used for Cellular, Paging and other radios services. Towers can contain multiple antennas owned by various companies.
World-renowned neurosurgeon and research scientist Dr. Lief Salford's  (Lund University, Sweden)  research findings--since 1988-- show blood brain barrier leakage in thousands of rat brains exposed to much lower doses of microwave radiation than cell phone usage, leading to increased albumin (neurotoxin) uptake, memory loss and damage of up to 2% of brain cells. Dr. Salford said that today, "two-thirds of the world's population volunteer as guinea pigs in the world's largest biological experiment."

Is Wifi making your kid sick?

Then, if the smart meters, cell towers, etc aren't bad enough, our domestic law enforcement is being encouraged to use "non-lethal" directed energy weapons on us. In order to avoid violation of international defense/agency treaties, the Department of Defense uses the Department of Justice to test "non-lethal" weapons classified as "crowd control", in their "non-lethal" electromagnetic weapons program. In 1993, the National Institute of Justice Initiative on Less than Lethal Weapons recommended that local and state police departments in America utilize psychotronic, electromagnetic, and other mind control weapons against American citizens involved in "domestic disturbances," an open-ended term that can include pretty much anything. The Washington Post reported, “The Pentagon and the DOJ have agreed to share state-of-the-art military technology with civilian law enforcement agencies, including exotic non-lethal weapons."
Short term research will be completed to adopt military technology to use by domestic law enforcement including laser microwave and electromagnetic weapons."

History teaches us that waiting for legislation and officials to protect our health is like closing the barn door after the horses escape. History teaches us that public health almost always loses to powerful commercial interests. Now that we have the information at our fingertips, there is no excuse for ignorance.

As the Revolving Door Spins.

Not even months ago, Republican, Meredith Attwell Baker, a top telecommunications regulator from the FCC voted to approve the merger of Comcast and NBC, creating the very company that she’ll be lobbying for later this summer, as senior vice president of government affairs for NBCUniversal. That's right. This "public servant"  is cashing in on her vote.

Comcast, the nation's largest cable TV company, bought a controlling interest in NBCUniversal after the FCC and the Justice Department approved the deal with conditions following a year-long review. The FCC's vote was 4-1.

Of course, this type of behavior is nothing new coming from an agency that conducts much of its business off the record and away from public view.  Plenty of FCC commissioners have gone on to work for multinational media conglomerates, propped up with inside knowledge of the regulatory and lobbying industry. However, what's more surprising is just how blatant this move was.

The Obama administration’s ethics rules will prevent Baker from lobbying the FCC directly for the next two years, but she is free to lobby Congress whenever she wants to start ensuring Comcast can continue to monopolize the market in order to keep Americans paying ever increasing amounts for  telecommunication services. Craig Aaron, head of the public interest group Free Press, called the move an example of "business as usual in Washington — where the complete capture of government by industry barely raises any eyebrows."

According to one former Comcast employee:
"Right after Comcast finalized that deal to buy NBC they let over 1000 employees go and I was one of them...nice way to say thank you for over 11 years of hard work to be kicked to the curb and we were told we were NOT allowed to say anything negative about Comcast either or they would come after us.
What is required of  Comcast?  Well, in lieu of more than 80 million Americans still going without broadband Internet service at home, Comcast has stepped up to the plate to substantially increase broadband adoption in low-income homes throughout Comcast’s service area.
"In households in Comcast’s service areas with annual incomes below $20,000, broadband adoption rates are at approximately 40 percent. More than a quarter of those homes include students who are eligible for free lunches under the National School Lunch Program (“NSLP”), a commonly accepted indicator of need. (Qualifying homes have annual incomes of less than 130 percent of the poverty level.)"
In the end, the revolving door between the official entities that are supposed to regulate the various industries and the lobbying companies continue to spin on behalf of industry, and gratuitous tax giveaways to the wealthiest go on without interruption.  Meanwhile the erosion of the support structure for American citizens carries on, as those with all the authority to effect policy go unchecked.

8 Days Left To Save the Internet!

Net Neutrality, which is the principle that all content on the Internet should be accessed equally and without having to pay service providers extra money, is at stake.

In a nutshell, the future of all media is going toward the internet and big profit driven corporations such as Verizon, Comcast and Time Warner, to name a few, do not want to miss out on cashing in on this huge shift taking place right now, or as someone on the internet said, "they're afraid someone is going to spend a nickel and they're not going to get 4 cents of it." ...the way things seem to work more and more these days.

The pipes and the wires responsible for allowing us to enjoy the Internet in the comfort of our homes are the very same pipes and wires the networks and the cable companies have as well.

So, the main question is “Who provides the service?”

Will the internet become a centralized entity much like cable TV or phone service? In other words a 'vast wasteland'. Or will it remain decentralized and a valuable source of knowledge and venue for the free exchange of ideas. Will it remain a medium where diversity of thought and discourse flow freely without the interference of big business or big government?

We all know the internet is also full of infantile, vanity-driven garbage which makes it difficult to evaluate or discriminate between what's good or bad, to separate the wheat from the chaff, but the answer is not to hand it over to big business...that will guarantee all of the content on the Internet will be nothing but trash!

As Harold Feld, MAP (Media Access Projects)'s Senior Vice President, said,

"The FTC explicitly sidesteps what should be the central issue in our Network Neutrality policy debate: What will happen to the current vibrant civic and political discussions on the Internet if the cable and phone companies get to decide which speakers deserve faster speed? The Supreme Court has called the Internet a medium ‘as diverse as human thought.’ Without Network Neutrality, it threatens to follow the path of radio, television and cable and become instead a ‘vast wasteland’ where the ability to pay vast sums for premium treatment trumps the power of ideas."

The problem with the Federal Trade Commission’s new report on Broadband Connectivity Competition Policy is that now instead of the internet being an open source of information, thought, and political discourse, these greedy companies will get to discriminate content for us and who gets online, who gets to use their services and at what speed. The Gatekeepers (large corporations) will stifle innovations, as well as many other components important to leveling the playing field, which is now contributing to cultivating a grassroots revival of public participation in political life.
