Diversity the Blogosphere

Steven Levy (Senior Editor Newsweek) questions whether anything should be done about the predominance of white males in the blogosphere. Will the blogosphere actually reverse the progress we have made regarding diversity in journalism? There are now approximately 8 million blogs on the web today; it seems anyone can start one as long as they have access to a computer or is the issue more complex?
