Is Bush Trying to Pacify the Masses, Perhaps?

President Bush ordered the troop surge in Iraq urging Congress to give the new plan until at least September to work. September's here and President Bush is optimistically hinting that a reduction of U.S. troops may be on the horizon.

President Bush's intimation that he may decrease the number of troops in Iraq may even be followed up with an empty gesture, possibly sending home a few token soldiers to appease us, so whatever he's planned will go ahead without delay.

The symbolic few will come home from war and everyone will cheer only to find out several days later that we are at war with Iran or that the returning soldiers will be replaced with brand new soldiers as a result of the new draft.

I really hope I'm wrong.
