Offer President-elect Obama Your Support and Your Scrutiny.

Yes, it's true. President-elect Obama wants to hear from all of us, and I really think he means it. Our new President-elect must understand we are not used to a leader who actually wants to include "the people" in the decisions he makes.

While it's absolutely necessary our new President receive our support, it is just as important he receive our scrutiny.

For, far too long - with our consent - greed, materialism, elitist power and a general disregard for humanity have governed. It's clear how destructive those forces are when we allow them to take over at the expense of compassion, empathy, and concern for ordinary people, especially those who are suffering needlessly.

It's time, our nation, with the highest standard of living in the world, eliminate the conditions that prevent a relatively large percentage of our population access to the basic necessities of life.

In other words, it's time to bridge the ever increasing shameful gap between the haves and the have-nots in America. There is no excuse. We have the resources to eliminate poverty all over the world. It should not be hard, at the very least, in our own country, to eradicate unnecessary human suffering.

President-elect Obama needs to hear from us...tell him your story, or tell him about the issues that matter most to you.

Share with him your vision for America.

"I ask you to believe - not just in my ability to bring about change, but in yours. I know this change is possible…because in this campaign, I have had the privilege to witness what is best in America. I've seen it in lines of voters that stretched around schools and churches; in the young people who cast their ballot for the first time, and those not so young folks who got involved again after a very long time. I've seen it in the workers who would rather cut back their hours than see their friends lose their jobs; in the neighbors who take a stranger in when the floodwaters rise; in the soldiers who re-enlist after losing a limb. I've seen it in the faces of the men and women I've met at countless rallies and town halls across the country, men and women who speak of their struggles but also of their hopes and dreams." - President elect Obama."

Thanks for the link. I'm going to give him a piece of my mind about his picks.
He promised change. His choices for his cabinet promise the exact opposite.
