Do Drills Go Live? Or Are Bizarre Coincidences Simply Coincidental?

I do not want to draw hasty conclusions regarding the drill that just so happened to coincide with the tragic event that took place yesterday in Washingtonian D.C., but there seems to be a pattern of mock terror drills occurring at the same place and time as high profile unusual real time violent events.  What are the odds? Do drills occur everyday in all locations in the U.S.? around the world? I doubt it. So, what's going on? Because the bizarre coincidence just keep pouring in.

Miriam Carey
The official home page of the U.S. Army advertises its latest drill: Capital Shield 2014: First responders to train in nation's capital that began Sept. 30 and ended, don't ya know, yesterday, on Oct. 3, the same day an unarmed woman, a dental hygienist, with her baby in the backseat crashes the White House gate, and is tragically killed by Capitol police. The 34-year old mother, Miriam Carey (left), reportedly believed the President electronically monitored her condo to broadcast her life on TV. The question remains, Was deadly force necessary?

But I have another question.  Why is it, that every time there is a highly unusual violent tragic event that broadcasts nationwide, there is a drill, planned well in advance, occurring in the same location, at the same time as the unusual-that's becoming more usual everyday--incident?  In this case, federal, state, local and municipal agencies were testing “interagency operability during a crisis impacting the District of Columbia." If it was only this drill accompanying this tragic event one could chalk it up to coincidence, but that's not the case at all.

Take 9/11, for example.  On September 11, 2001, aside from the North American Aerospace Defense Command's (NORAD) ongoing operation which involved deploying fighter aircraft to northwestern North America, a National Reconnaissance Office drill was being conducted. In a simulated event, a small aircraft would crash into one of the towers of the agency's headquarters. The NRO is the branch of the Department of Defense in charge of spy satellites. According to its spokesman Art Haubold: "No actual plane was to be involved -- to simulate the damage from the crash, some stairwells and exits were to be closed off, forcing employees to find other ways to evacuate the building." He further explained: "It was just an incredible coincidence that this happened to involve an aircraft crashing into our facility, as soon as the real world events began, we canceled the exercise."

In addition, FEMA was deployed to New York on Monday night, September 10th, to be ready to go into action on Tuesday morning, September 11th.
We're currently one of the first teams that was deployed to support the city of New York for this disaster. We arrived on late Monday night, and went into action on Tuesday morning. And not until today did we get a full opportunity to work the entire site." -- FEMA spokesman Tom Kenney to Dan Rather on Wednesday, September 12th, 2001.

More examples:

The Boston marathon bombing happened on the same day as a 'controlled explosion' drill by Boston bomb squad. The Boston Globe tweeted today, "Officials: There will be a controlled explosion opposite the library within one minute as part of bomb squad activities."  Furthermore, according to Local15TV.com, a University of Mobile's Cross Country Coach said there were bomb-sniffing dogs at both the start and finish lines, long before any explosions went off.  Moreover, just moments before the bombs went off, around 4 hours into Monday’s Boston Marathon, officials could be heard over the loud-speakers telling everyone to “remain calm, this is only an exercise.

The Texas fertilizer plant explosion just so happened to occur a little more than an hour’s drive from a huge hospital drill, coincidentally scheduled for the very same day. Moreover, the fertilizer plant, owned by a company that filed a lawsuit against Monsanto in 2007, was totally destroyed by the explosion only one day from the anniversaries of both the OK City Bombing and the infamous final Waco Branch Davidian siege that took place only 20 miles away.

The Newtown Connecticut Sandy Hook Schools Shooting occurred at the same time  as an active shooter drill. The official government website for the state of Connecticut (ct.gov) listed the drill on their calendar. This government drill--FEMA L-366 Planning for the Needs of Children in Disasters-- that took place on the same day of the shooting between the same hours was located down the road about 14 miles at the following location

The Aurora Colorado movie theater shooting was also accompanied by a drill.
The tragedy that played out in an Aurora movie theater Friday was ironically paralleled as a classroom learning experience in a medical school in Parker the same day.

Rocky Vista University College of Osteopathic Medicine is in the middle of holding specialized classes in disaster life support for 150 second-year medical students. Along with response to natural disasters like hurricanes and floods and terrorist attacks, one of the scenarios being used to train the students is how to respond if a shooter fires at people in a movie theater and also uses a bomb in the attack.
The Virginia Tech shooting followed one day after a disaster drill transpired at the same location.

And while, as far as I know, drills did not accompany the Columbine massacre, crisis training drills were previously scheduled for the same time at Columbine High School.

The Oklahoma City Bombing and the devastation of the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building that claimed the lives of 168 people, including 19 children on April 19, 1995 took place at the same time as a nearby drill  being conducted by the OK City ATF and it’s bomb-squad, simulating almost the exact same scenario that played out during the bombing that morning. What's more is that because of this drill, none of the ATF or their staff, whose offices were housed in the building, happened to be in the building at the time and all escaped injury as a result. The morning of the bombing, the ATF office located inside the Murrah building was empty, unheard of at 9 AM on a weekday.

And it's not just in the U.S.:

The Oslo Norway Bombing  occurred at the same time that Norwegian Police conducted a drill for “almost identical” scenario minutes before massacre.

7/7 Railway bombing in London  occurred at the same time as an anti-terror drill. Peter Power, Managing Director of Visor Consultants, a private firm on contract to the London Metropolitan Police, described in a BBC interview how he had organized and conducted the anti-terror drill, on behalf of an unnamed business client:
POWER (: At half past nine this morning we were actually running an exercise for a company of over a thousand people in London based on simultaneous bombs going off precisely at the railway stations where it happened this morning, so I still have the hairs on the back of my neck standing up right now.

HOST: To get this quite straight, you were running an exercise to see how you would cope with this and it happened while you were running the exercise?

POWER: Precisely, and it was about half past nine this morning, we planned this for a company and for obvious reasons I don’t want to reveal their name but they’re listening and they’ll know it. And we had a room full of crisis managers for the first time they’d met and so within five minutes we made a pretty rapid decision that this is the real one and so we went through the correct drills of activating crisis management procedures to jump from slow time to quick time thinking and so on.
Insanity is the mental state where reality (truth) cannot be separated from falsehood. Today, lies have become truth and and our society has become a place where, in the words of George Orwell, "the prevailing mental condition [is] controlled insanity."
Doublethink means the power of holding two contradictory beliefs in one's mind simultaneously [the lie and the truth], and accepting both of them [Insanity]... with the lie always one leap ahead of the truth… Those who have the best knowledge of what is happening are also those who are furthest from seeing the world as it is; in general the greater the understanding the greater the delusion; the more intelligent the less sane… If one is to rule, and to continue ruling, one must be able to dislocate the sense of reality… If human equality is to be forever averted; if the "high," as we have called them, are to keep their places permanently; then the prevailing mental condition must be controlled insanity…" George Orwell - 1984

Why Do We Love Psychopaths and Sociopaths?

There are a thousand hacking at the branches of evil to one who is striking at the root. -- Henry David Thoreau
Let's face it. One of our biggest obstacles to success and/or "happiness" is that all consuming inner sense of what is right and wrong, that complex of ethical and moral principles called the conscience. Imagine what you could accomplish without that burdensome guilt-inducing awareness. Well, there are people who are not burdened and/or handicapped by this faculty of mind, and they very often rise to the top, attaining positions of great power. And who puts them there? We do. Why? Because when we hear the word psychopath, we immediately think of the Hollywood definition: the crazed violent, sadistic, human flesh-eating, serial killers like the fictitious Hannibal Lector, and/or the less fictitious Jeffrey Dahmer, Gary Heidnick, amongst many others. However, the truth is that only a very very small percentage of psychopaths are this violent, and if they are, they are not only psychopaths but sociopaths as well. Yes, there is a difference.

One can be a sociopath without being a psychopath and vice versa, as well as being both at the same time. According to Dr. Robert Hare, leading expert on psychopathy, psychopaths--and sociopaths-- are not psychotic. They are not mentally, psychiatrically or legally insane...‘‘mania sans de´lire’’(‘‘madness without delirium’’). They wear the "mask of sanity."  So on that note, they're the same.

Psychopaths, however, are people who, at their very core, lack the capacity to make an emotional connection with others, who lack the capacity to empathize, but who have not broken with reality. They are very aware of the consequences of their actions, they just don't care about the consequences of their actions on others, only about the consequences to themselves. Their emotional life is shallow and superficial. They are usually dominant individuals who use deceit, manipulation and charm to intimidate and control others. They have an enormous sense of entitlement, tend to be impulsive, irresponsible, and have an unusual need for excitement. They have no problem violating the legal, social and moral code, but that certainly doesn't mean that all psychopaths end up in jail, in fact, most sail through life without ever facing prison time. Why? Mostly because psychopaths, smart ones, anyway, rise to the top where they can influence or even make the rules.

Sociopaths, on the other hand, are hard core criminals, who may or may not be psychopaths. The difference lies in their capacity to feel remorse or guilt. It is a fact that most criminals are not psychopaths. One could say a psychopath is born (or hard-wired); a sociopath, the result of circumstances, therefore, redeemable. Or, the term psychopath defines who a person is, whereas sociopath defines what a person does (criminal and socially deviant behavior). In other words, the distinction between sociopath and psychopath is that sociopaths learn to repress or suppress their sympathy/empathy/compassion and psychopaths are genetically incapable of sympathy/empathy/compassion. It must be noted that there is no evidence that proves psychopaths are biologically/genetically pre- dispositioned to become psychopaths, however, there is some evidence to support the biological basis of psychopathy. In other words, "causal conclusions" cannot be made.
The biological basis of psychopathy has not yet been fully elucidated. Few studies deal with structural neuroimaging in psychopaths. The aim of this article is to review these studies in order to contribute to our understanding of the biological basis of psychopathy. Data in the literature report a reduction in prefrontal gray matter volume, gray matter loss in the right superior temporal gyrus, amygdala volume loss, a decrease in posterior hippocampal volume, an exaggerated structural hippocampal asymmetry, and an increase in callosal white matter volume in psychopathic individuals. These findings suggest that psychopathy is associated with brain abnormalities in a prefrontal–temporo-limbic circuit—i.e. regions that are involved, among others, in emotional and learning processes. Additionally, data indicate that psychopathic individuals cannot be seen as a homogeneous group.

For instance, throughout history, there have been cases where murderers, hit-men, snipers, etc, truly repent and transform themselves. The most famous case of all, the Saul to Paul transformation in the New Testament. Moreover, we are all psychologically conditioned to accept rape, plunder, murder, etc. when the pathocracy claims so-called conditions call for it, and sends our brainwashed-to-kill young men into battle under the guise of fighting for the "greater good," that is, to line the pockets of the already lined pockets of our psychopathic global elite.

Most of us can't get past the exhibition of love and family values that many of these Orwellian corporate, political and religious leaders and celebrities display. Most of us do not like to explore deeply uncomfortable topics so we accept the sound bytes and their superficial public displays of compassion, empathy and sympathy at face value, never taking the time to peek or pull back the curtain. To be fair, most of us do not have the time and/or energy to search out the truth due to just trying to keep our heads above water.

In addition to our lack of time/energy, we're conditioned to accept the official word of  official personalities, and even to "love" them to one degree or another. Consider the mourning that takes place on a national or even global level when one of these personalities die.

But, in our ever increasing disconnected, or pseudo-connected world, we're surrounded by these mainstream personalities in positions of elitist power, ruling every facet of our lives behind the curtains. We see and hear about them more than we see our loved ones.  Unfortunately, most of those we call the powers that be or were, the new world order, the ruling class, etc, fit the profile of a psychopath, yet we continue to admire, emulate, worship and vote them in. Why?

Through TV, movies, 24/7 cable "news", violent video games, constant glitzy and glamorous advertising, and the empty rhetoric of politicians, we've become indoctrinated to accept the predatory class's psychopathic agenda, and have become completely anesthetized to its horrible consequences.  Never forget, the psychopath is a predatory individual who pretends to be someone they are not, gaining our trust in order to exploit us in some way. Anything reflected in the corporate controlled media covertly reflects the psychopathic agenda.
Never again will you be capable of ordinary human feeling. Everything will be dead inside you. Never again will you be capable of love, or friendship, or joy of living, or laughter, or curiosity, or courage, or integrity. You will be hollow. We shall squeeze you empty and then we shall fill you with ourselves." George Orwell's 1984

9/11's Orwellian Talking Points

Green Party candidate, in the 2008 presidential election, Cynthia McKinney, having served six terms in the House of Representatives,   is a very rare individual who speaks truth to power. One of the first things that she questioned directly after 9/11, were the slick brochures, magazines with photographs, etc, that appeared on the newsstands immediately after the attacks that day.

Moreover, as a congresswoman in September 2001, all of the representatives received talking points that consisted of, in the words of former Black Party Panther member and former chairman of the Chicago chapter, Fred Hampton (assassinated by cointel program), "answers that don't answer, explanations that don't explain, and conclusions that don't conclude."

In a nutshell, these "talking points" said the United States was hit because we are free. Oh, the irony! They were only "free" to say, we are free. That's it! If you dared to go beyond those talking points, if you did not subscribe to 'groupthink' the powers that be made sure you would give up your seat in Congress to someone who would obey.

Here are two of the many examples of representatives who would've tried to truly investigate 9/11, but because they acted as if they were free, never got the chance. Earl Hilliard, the first black representative elected in the state of Alabama since reconstruction, served on the House International Relations Committee, but he dared to travel to Libya to establish relations with the people and government so he was not reelected in 2002.

Curt Weldon is another representative from Pennsylvania who stumbled upon Able Danger. Because of that, the FBI raided his house and his daughter's house, resulting in him losing his bid for reelection.

Furthermore, documentation from the 1999 trial to ascertain the complicity of the U.S. government in the assassination of Martin Luther King, proves that the CIA spent one-third of its budget to buy the media, Operation Mockingbird. Fast forward to 2003, and the United States media can legally lie to the American people with impunity. That is now U.S. law!

That's not all. McKinney said all 535 politicians on Capitol Hill have to sign a pledge of allegiance to Israel. If they don’t sign it, their funds are cut, and the American Israeli Political Action Committee (AIPAC).

The First Casualty of Relativistic Society is Truth.

More specifically, the first casualty is truth to power. When the concept of good and evil is brushed aside as the product of weak and/or inferior minds, it provides fertile ground for the emerging of very power-hungry and corrupt leaders. Truth becomes subservient to power, and as George Orwell said, “History is something to be created rather than learned.” In other words, the powerful, in the absence of objective truth, create it, and the scariest part is that our leaders are so confident in their powerful positions, they all too readily, confess.

" [He] said that guys like me were “in what we call the reality-based community,” which he defined as people who “believe that solutions emerge from your judicious study of discernible reality. [...] That’s not the way the world really works anymore. continued. We’re an empire now, and when we act, we create our own reality. And while you’re studying that reality—judiciously, as you will—we’ll act again, creating other new realities, which you can study too, and that’s how things will sort out. We’re history’s actors . . . and you, all of you, will be left to just study what we do.” -- Karl Rove to Ron Suskind in New York Times Magazine on October 17, 2004
We've already seen some of the most brutal regimes spring forth throughout the twentieth century--the darkest century in history. In less than 30-years’ time, these totalitarian regimes brought about two devastatingly bloody world wars. Yet, as we begin the twenty-first century, moral relativism ( the notion that there is no objective moral truth, no right or wrong) reigns supreme, rendering evil's very existence as subjective.

In a culture or society that claims there is no absolute truth, our leaders can use his Noble Peace Prize win as a platform for making the case for war as President Obama did when he told his speechwriters,  "he intended to use the acceptance speech to make the case for war."  But those who would claim this is morally wrong are dismissed as rigid, fundamentalist, judgmental, and/or intolerant. In fact, tolerance is the only "moral" claim that one can make without being slapped with the aforementioned labels. Of course, President Obama is not the first, nor the last leader to twist the truth into whatever he wants it to be.

So war is peace. Ignorance is strength. Freedom is slavery. This is what our leaders are telling us, and we accept it as "truth".  Therefore, war, technological advances, profit, or really anything created  at the expense of nature and mankind is just fine.

Granted, those who are easily seduced by the prospect of wealth and power, and who lack conscience naturally gravitate toward leadership positions, and that's why it's our job to hold those people accountable. But to what? If there are no absolutes.
"To know and not to know, to be conscious of complete truthfulness while telling carefully constructed lies, to hold simultaneously two opinions which cancelled out, knowing them to be contradictory and believing in both of them, to use logic against logic, to repudiate morality while laying claim to it, to believe that democracy was impossible and that the Party was the guardian of democracy, to forget whatever it was necessary to forget, then to draw it back into memory again at the moment when it was needed, and then promptly to forget it again: and above all, to apply the same process to the process itself. [George Orwell, 1984, Part 1, Chapter 3.]

The secret of their success? How U.S. leaders from JFK to Roosevelt and George W Bush share character traits with psychopaths

A character trait in psychopaths has been identified by scientists as a common thread in successful US presidents.

Fearless dominance, which is linked to less social and physical apprehensiveness, boosts leadership, persuasiveness, crisis management and congressional relations, according to new research.

Everything is Backwards.

Who got it?
The ruling class, political elite, powers that be...whatever you want to call them, have rigged the system to plunder an ever-increasing share of the world’s wealth and power, while the dwindling middle class and growing poverty sector face unemployment, soaring student debt, homelessness, sky-rocketing health care and food costs, the disappearance of retirement savings, not to mention the possible disappearance of retirement, altogether.

"Just look at us. Everything is backwards. Everything is upside-down. Doctors destroy health, lawyers destroy justice, universities destroy knowledge, governments destroy freedom, the major media destroy information, and religion destroys spirituality."---Michael Ellner

Enough said.

The Knowledge Graph: Google's Ministry of Truth.

If you remember, Orwell's "Ministry of Truth" concerned itself with spreading lies in order to manipulate public opinion; film and radio carried this process even further. The Ministry of Truth coined phrases like "War is Peace", Freedom is Slavery" and "Ignorance is Power". In other words, fiction became truth. So, what does this have to do with Google?

Well, anyone with an IQ of a bat - a baseball bat, that is -  knows Google has a monopoly on information distribution. It's hard to come up with anything on the net that Google hasn't, at the very least, tried to take over. Take YouTube, for example. Prior to Google's takeover, censorship was not an issue on YouTube. Today, it most certainly is. "Copyright School", anyone?

So, now, under the guise of of trying to produce semantically meaningful results, I suppose, Google will replace the old strategy of matching keywords to webpages, and employ Metaweb algorithms to generate search results in the form of a new search tool,  "The Knowledge Graph". This tool will return answers or “facts” from pre-selected sources  such as the CIA Factbook, Wikipedia, the World Bank, and Freebase, an open database generated by Metaweb, which Google acquired in 2010.

In addition to providing traditional search results, the Knowledge Graph results will offer a wide range of answers to search queries directly on the results page. In other words, instead of finding the correct Wikipedia article that has the answer, the information will appear in a type of Googlepedia display.

Instead of using the typical search strength of a particular answer, this new feature will draw "facts" from places like Wikipedia for historical information, CIA World Factbook for geopolitical answers, the World Bank for economic facts, Freebase for information about people and other predetermined
But, do we really want to abdicate the role of "decider" to Google, who plans to supply lowest common denominator search results, considering the aforementioned underlying sources that will embed meaning into the content?  Not me. Personally, I prefer unstructured ambiguity. It assures better access to unbiased information.

More Executive Orders. More Regime Change.

Over the weekend, in an unprecedented move, President Barack Obama signed Executive Order 13606,  banning electronic aid - from cellphone tracking to Internet monitoring - to Iran and Syria (foreign nationals who pose a threat) after declaring a national emergency.  In other words, in somewhat vague terminology, which could possibly open loopholes, he is targeting people and entities who use technology to help  Iran and Syria suppress their people. But, is it as bad as the mainstream media makes it out to be?

After spinning these lies, The New York Times was forced to admit, in several articles, that there have been massive rallies in Syria in support of the Syrian government. These rallies are larger than any pro-government demonstration that the U.S. government could hope to organize for itself.
Now, if you continue to believe that what is being reported in Syria is, indeed, real, then instead of feeling a wee bit threatened, you probably see nothing wrong with Obama signing his 117th or 118th  EO.

However, keep in mind, General Wesley Clark's speech in 2007, at the Commonwealth Club of California. He claimed that Paul Wolfowitz said the US had 5-10 years to clean up the old Soviet "client regimes" before the next super power rose up to challenge western hegemony, and then went on to say   that shortly after September 11, 2001, while at the Pentagon, a document handed down from the Office of the Secretary of Defense indicated plans to attack and destroy the governments of seven countries; Iraq, Syria, Sudan, Somalia, Iran, Lebanon and Libya.

Of course, the Council on Foreign Relations (CFR) thinks it's a great idea as it  reports on the establishment of the Atrocities Prevention Board (APB), describing it as a "new interagency body...that represents a major advance in the U.S. commitment to counter genocide and mass atrocities. If the APB functions as intended, it will make a real difference to the effectiveness of the U.S. government in meeting the challenge of these horrific crimes".

Orwellian translation: "new interagency body...that represents a major advance in the U.S. commitment to encourage genocide and mass atrocities. If the APB functions as intended, it will make a real difference to the effectiveness of the U.S. government in meeting the creation of these horrific crimes".

Remember, not everyone - if anyone at all - has something to gain by regime change in Syria.  Ask the Christian population. They will tell you they have everything to fear from a regime change, yet, as a supposedly Christian nation, we hear very little about the Middle East - the birthplace of Christianity - Christians, who have all but vanished from that region, from 20% to 2% in 40 years. Syria's Christian population is about 6-10%.

The Dystopian Future is Upon Us.

It's undeniable. The question is which "dystopia"? George Orwell’s “1984”? Or, Aldous Huxley’s “Brave New World”? It appears both visions were right. On the one hand, the repressive surveillance and security state grows larger everyday, and on the other hand, captivated by technology, we're addicted to mindless entertainment and consumption. Meanwhile, as Jacques Ellul once said, “Technique has taken over the whole of civilization. Death, procreation, birth all submit to technical efficiency and systematization.” "We the People" are on the path to becoming mere numbers, each one of us indistinguishable from another, easily exchanged, and easily erased should we fail to conform.

From Raytheon: crowd control will be as easy as suffocating people with sound now that they've come out with the LRAD Sound Cannon. That is, low frequency sound waves that disrupt the respiratory tract and hinders breathing.

From IBM:  Mind Reading Computers  within five years.  That's right.  Beware, the "thought police" are no longer fictional characters. They're here.

And from the Brookings Institute, retroactive surveillance, or surveillance time machines. That is, digital storage that enables "shadowing people’s movements and communications that took place before the individuals became suspects, according to John Villaseno, author of “Recording Everything: Digital Storage as an Enabler of Authoritarian Government,” and a senior fellow at Brookings and a professor of electrical engineering at UCLA.

“For example, if an anti-regime demonstrator previously unknown to security services is arrested, it will be possible to go back in time to scrutinize the demonstrator’s phone conversations, automobile travels, and the people he or she met in the months and even years leading up to the arrest.”

Our Oxymoronic Orwellian Government.

"They did not feel the abyss opening beneath their feet at the thought of lies becoming truths." -- George Orwell

"Doublethink" - the art of taking common words and twisting their meaning so that war is peace and transparent is opaque, the allowing of two contradictory thoughts to be held as equally valid - "Newspeak" - language designed to create fuzzy ideas and a lack of logical thinking - and “Memory Holes" - repository for the destruction of inconvenient documents and removing them from public circulation - are mind control techniques that our current administration have mastered. Not only have they mastered Orwellian technique, they advertise!

Take President Obama's latest Orwellian statement: claiming he would veto the provision in the National Defense Authorization Act of 2012 (NDAA), which basically states that the homeland is part of the battlefield, and that American citizens can be held without charge or trial. From the start, he had no intention to veto sections 1031 and 1032. How can we know this?  Those sections give the executive branch and the military full authority to arrest, indefinitely detain and interrogate American citizens. It affords no trial, no representation and no charges — stripping "We the People" of our Fifth and Sixth Amendment rights.  This falls right in line with the administration's agenda based on what we know about the administration's past decisions about acts granting the executive office broadly interpreted powers, including the power to assassinate American citizens without due process.

The U.S. Code, hundreds of thousands of pages of codified general statutes, regulations and annotations, has basically rendered all of us felons. Because you can bet your ass that each and every single one of us are in violation of an obscure, meaningless regulation within the vast sea of overly complex, meant to obfuscate language in the never-ending pages of bloated, antiquated code.

So, in this Orwellian world of ours, where the inversion of the logic of ethics - reaping reward for harming others - underpins the "rule of law", it's not so far-fetched that "We, the 99%" are considered guilty until proven innocent, as we are felons before we take our first step.

An imperialist government achieves its ends through war mentality and the first victim of war is the truth.

Discerning Truth in a Hux-Orwellian World.

We've never had so many options to choose from. Yet, despite the hundreds of cable channels, 24/7 "news", countless magazines, and the availability of the Internet, etc., the average person is less informed than ever before. Why is this the case? Well, for one, the choices aren't real; it's an illusion of choice.   Why? Because all of these choices are controlled by five or six ginormous multinational corporations that put out the same propaganda in slightly different packages.  All style and no substance.

There is an all-out effort to change the meanings of words, if not eliminate certain words entirely...or create new ones to facilitate the political/capitalist/corporate agenda. The broadcast-controllers subtly, or not so subtly, rework the definition of a word, until it means the exact opposite of its original meaning.
“The war is not meant to be won, it is meant to be continuous. Hierarchical society is only possible on the basis of poverty and ignorance. This new version is the past and no different past can ever have existed. In principle the war effort is always planned to keep society on the brink of starvation. The war is waged by the ruling group against its own subjects and its object is not the victory over either Eurasia or East Asia, but to keep the very structure of society intact.” -George Orwell
Demonizing a word is another tactic of our Orwellian leadership, because it very effectively shuts down further exploration of issues and/or controversial subjects.

Take the word, conspiracy, for example. This effort to equate the word conspiracy with lunacy can be traced back at least as far as the JFK assassination, maybe even further. The definition of conspiracy is: an agreement to perform together an illegal, wrongful, or subversive act. Uh...hello? This isn't happening in the highest corridors of the power structure that leads us astray? Must not be, if people's reactions to this despised word are any indication.

Nope. Despite the fact that 90% of our politicians are playing the game exclusively to line their pockets and secure their personal future. And it's almost always at the expense of these very same people, who look at you as if they want to set you on a fast-track to a lobotomy, for daring to suggest that the power-hungry, greedy leaders may be, indeed, conspiring. Yet, at the same time, most people will readily admit that the power elite are plundering the till with impunity.

Okay, so all of these politicians, world leaders, corporate leaders and banksters...they all act completely alone, without consulting with anyone else?  And it's all just one big coincidence that these independently acting individuals produce results that are excessively advantageous to one infinitesimally small group of people, time after time?  It would seem to me that the near-clockwork precision of a very well organized group would be required to achieve what appears to be near perfect results. If you doubt it, just compare and contrast their ever-growing wealth and power to that of the average American citizen.

Not only do they control the money, they control the language, which is the ultimate control of other people's thoughts.  When you combine the  manipulation of our language, and the suppression and twisting of information , with total control of the money supply, it ensures a constant state of mass confusion necessary to create a Hux-Orwellian world where war is peace. Ignorance is strength, and freedom is slavery.

This is Orwell's world.  Although the Huxley carrot is still dangling - here in the United States, anyway - the Orwellian stick is becoming more prominent every day. The over-abundant trinkets, trivia, and encouragement of mindless consumption serve to divert our attention away from the colossal surveillance society that is manifesting right before our distracted eyes.

In a nutshell, 2 + 2 no longer = 4. It's the annihilation of an objective reality through the alteration of everyday thought and language.

Mexican Drug Cartels Give Parties for Top US Officials.

Did you know that the Mexican drug cartel kingpins gave/give parties to help out top U.S. officials - banksters, judges and top law enforcement officials?

Of course, you do...well, deep down, that is - countless cases of drug kingpins admitting they worked actively with U.S officials, Operation Fast and Furious, U.S./Afghan opium drug trade Iran Contra, anyone?  But because it's not splashed all over the 24/7 newsfeed, many or most of us tend to remain in comfortable denial. It's so much easier. After all, those who are attending these cartel parties see to it that we have enough to worry about, ensuring we won't have the time to worry about or investigate their "unjust activities".

Nevertheless, every once in a while, courageous Americans step up to the plate and try to do something about it. Greg Gonzales and Wesley Dutton, are two of those men, who worked undercover for the FBI and came forward with their findings.  They told the El Paso Times in Texas that they exposed extensive incidences of linking top U.S. officials to Mexican drug cartels. Instead of arrests and prosecutions of suspects, their "whistle-blowing activities have resulted only in threats and retaliation against themselves".  The FBI immediately relieved them of duty once they mentioned "big names", and refused to investigate their allegations.

Moreover, according to Gonzales and Dutton,  local law enforcement assisted cartels in delivering drugs drug delivery to the states.

The only responses Dutton and Gonzalez have received are threats against their life. They are taking their case up with a DC-based foundation named Judicial Watch.

Anytime there is a "war on" something in this Orwellian world of ours, you should assume the complete opposite. War on drugs, war on terror, war on cancer - whatever the declared war - that "war" is most assuredly an effort to ensure and grow that particular targeted issue.  All of these wars are wars on life.  The result of these so-called wars speak for themselves.

War on Drugs = War on underclass
“I personally witnessed racially biased enforcement procedures when I ran a joint DEA task force. When I requested equal enforcement of upscale suburban areas, I met internal resistance. The war on drugs has put blacks behind bars for drug offenses at more than ten times the rate of whites, even though the evidence consistently shows that blacks are no more likely to use or sell currently illicit drugs than whites are. It is time to end this virtual race war.” -- Matthew Fogg, U.S. Marshal, LEAP member, and former BIG national first vice president
On a personal note, having attended a wealthy private college on the Main Line in Pennsylvania, I saw how widespread and prevalent drug dealing and drug using was, and I'm sure, still is amongst the priviliged class. The more wealthy the student's family, the more likely it was that he or she was either taking or selling drugs.  Moreover, shoplifting was as common as breathing amongst the wealthier students. They had no fear. They knew they would never feel the consequences of their actions, and they were right.   In all of my four years, I never saw or heard of one arrest...ever.

War on Terror = War on American psyche
Instilling fear in the American public in order to render them submissive, and groing the terrorism industrial complex is the only goal of this war, which really targets you and me.

War on Cancer = War on the health

Wipe That Anxious Look Off Your Face Granny, or it's the Body Liquefaction Chamber For You!

The airports may be adding a new type of scanner to their Orwellian "security" system, because porno scans and random feel-ups may not be invasive enough.  Now, they want to play Santa Claus, and use their emotion detector to see if you've been naughty or nice.

A recent article, "New Emotion Detector Can See When We're Lying," reveals a new technology which is a system of video cameras that are connected to "a high-resolution thermal imaging sensor and a suite of algorithms."

Okay, what happened to innocent until proven guilty? Why should law-abiding, innocent people be subjected to the Spanish Inquisition in an airport of all places? Even Torquemada had the good sense to avoid airports.

What Does the Ancient Library of Alexandria and the WTC Towers Have in Common?.

The founding of the Royal Library of Alexandria has been called the beginning of modern history, as it was not just a library, but a global research center that attracted many of the greatest scholars in the ancient world. It functioned as a major center of thought, culture and activity.

It contained works by the greatest thinkers and writers of antiquity, including Homer, Plato, Socrates and many more; however, the Library of Alexandria, is believed to have been destroyed in a huge fire around 2000 years ago and its voluminous works lost.

Fast forward some 2,000 years later, and attacks on World Trade Center not only destroy the lives of thousands of people, but tens of thousands of records, irreplaceable historical documents and art. Not to mention all that was possibly destroyed when we invaded Iraq, the cradle of civilization.

Moreover, just as mystery surrounds the destruction of the the ancient library, mystery surrounds the destruction of the WTC towers, despite the official fiction story.

Letters written by Helen Keller. Forty-thousand photographic negatives of John F. Kennedy taken by the president's personal cameraman. Sculptures by Alexander Calder and Auguste Rodin. The 1921 agreement that created the agency that built the World Trade Center.

Besides ending nearly 3,000 lives, destroying planes and reducing buildings to tons of rubble and ash, the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks destroyed tens of thousands of records, irreplaceable historical documents and art.

In some cases, the inventories were destroyed along with the records. And the loss of human life at the time overshadowed the search for lost paper. A decade later, agencies and archivists say they're still not completely sure what they lost or found, leaving them without much of a guide to piece together missing history.
Is it like George Orwell once said, "Who controls the past controls the future Who controls the present, controls the past." It it possible that the burning of the Library of Alexandria and the "burning" of the WTC towers are both an attempt to control history?

Orwellian Transparency.

President Obama received a "transparency" award...in secret. Members of the press were discouraged from attending.

Well, what do you expect when "many of the Obama administration's top open government initiatives are set to be turned off by May 31"?  Congress  plans to slash the Electric Gov Fund - from $34 million to $2 million, which will shut down President Obama's "transparency" projects and websites: Data.gov, USASpending.gov, PaymentAccuracy.gov, and five other similar sites.

Ironcially, these proposed cuts to e-gov are in the works, despite $3 billion, e-gov saved on IT projects, according to Federal Chief Information Officer Vivek Kundra.

What's next? President Obama receives the Nobel Peace Prize? Oh, wait...

House Republicans are Not Happy Real ID Act Postponed

Really? And here I thought Republicans did not like the idea of Big Brother Government. But, apparently they do, as they stated in a letter this week to Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano that "any further extension of Real ID threatens the security of the United States."

What is Real ID? A national ID card. This standardized digital identity card comes fully equipped with a GPS chip, that would've been required to board airplanes or enter federal buildings thanks to President Bush signing The Real ID Act of 2005, under the guise of an antiterrorist measure . However, due to public outcry, The U.S. Department of Homeland Security postponed the effective date of the Real ID Act until January 15, 2013.

Reliance on new information technology to prevent so-called terror is creating the surveillance society George Orwell predicted. On the surface it may not sound threatening; however, when you consider that computers can cut across electronic data - police/sales/medical/financial records, etc. - discerning patterns and applying profiles that result in brand new information and links in a matter of seconds...and then track you down in another couple of seconds, it's quite scary.

War on Terror = War on Courage Through Manipulating the Conscience

19th century strategist, Carl von Clausewitz once said, "Killing the enemy's courage is as vital as killing his troops."   Hence, the war on American courage that's progressing seamlessly from one idiotic terror inducing scheme to another.

If you don't believe, just visit your nearest airport and observe the willingness of  most American citizens to submit to harmful TSA body scans and the groping of their private parts.  And, for what?  An underwear bomber? A shoe bomber? Who both appeared as if brushing their teeth every morning might present quite a challenge, let alone, carrying out an international plan of terror.

You see, that's why the war on our courage is winning.  Unaware of all of the classic propaganda techniques - evasion, confusion, misdirection, focus grouped selected highly charged rhetoric, disinformation, secrecy, withholding of important facts, selective leaks - we swallow whole what the corporately owned mainstream media dishes out as gospel truth. Which brings us to the military PSYOP operations, that's currently being used against we, the people.

According to the academic research paper, PSYOP Operations in the 21st Century, from the US Army War College:

A revolution in Psychological Operations (PSYOP) will occur in the near future. The Internet will be the vehicle to enable a revolution in PSYOP and improve the capabilities of PSYOP to achieve objectives specified in the National Security Strategy (NSS).
Now, PSYOP has been used in warfare since ancient times; however, what's so concerning now is - more than ever before, due to the rapidly advancing technology, and an elite agenda to subvert the public -  PSYOP's main target: us.

Here are just a few examples of PSYOP operations employed against we, the people that we know of:

Recently, Rolling Stone has learned  that the US Army inappropriately used members of a psychological operations team to influence visiting U.S. senators into providing more funding for the war.

In addition, over the years, the army has embedded active-duty PSYOPS soldiers at local TV stations.  Local television stations have regularly hosted active-duty soldiers from the Army's 4th Psychological Operations group as part of the Army's Training With Industry program. And the unit placed interns at CNN and NPR in 1998 and 1999. And although CNN promised never to allow that again, they placed an intern in 2007-08.

Under NORTHCOM, PSYOP, now the less offensive sounding, Military Information Support Operations (MISO), can "spring into action domestically." That's right.  The planes that are equipped to broadcast radio and television messages to counter an adversary’s propaganda or propagate our own to a foreign audience, can now be used to target US.

Then, the Chicago Tribune hosted two Marine Corps public affairs officers between 2002 and 2004. Lt. Col. Ricardo Player's - who had previously served as public affairs officer for Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld and a military aide to former Assistant Secretary of Defense for Public Affairs Victoria Clarke - time at the Tribune coincided with the run-up to the invasion of Iraq.

The insidious nature of psychological warfare makes it a much more efficient weapon and or tool to control the masses whether domestic or foreign.  Moreover, in a global society as we are, it's even more important to inflict, as both domestic and foreign must be dealt with at the same time.
If you give a man the correct information for seven years, he may believe the incorrect information on the first day of the eighth year when it is necessary, from your point of view, that he should do so. Your first job is to build the credibility and the authenticity of your propaganda, and persuade the enemy to trust you although you are his enemy. - A Psychological Warfare Casebook Operations Research Office Johns Hopkins University Baltimore (1958)
"In military actions, attacking minds_that is the primary mission; attacking fortifications, that is a secondary mission. Psychological war is the main thing. Combat is secondary." —Third Century Chinese Military Theoretician
"...there was no point in seeking to convert the intellectuals. For intellectuals would never be converted and would anyway always yield to the stronger, 'and this will always be the man in the street.' Arguments must therefore be crude, clear and forcible, and appeal to emotions and instincts, not the intellect. Truth was unimportant and entirely subordinate to tactics and psychology...Hatred and contempt must be directed at particular individuals." - H. Trevor-Roper (ed), The Goebbels Diaries, p. XX, cited in Regan, Geoffrey. 1987. Great Military Disasters. New York: M. Evans and Company.
"We live in a dirty and dangerous world. There are some things the general public does not need to know and shouldn't. I believe democracy flourishes when the government can take legitimate steps to keep its secrets and when the press can decide whether to print what it knows." - Katherine Graham

National Security: Orwellian Doublespeak for National Hazard.

Frank Church Open Senate Hearings on CIA and the secret poison gun, which can induce heart attacks, cancer, etc.. From the hearings, Congress created limits, in response to the widespread abuse on the monitoring of citizens, which FISA undid.

No Place to Hide (should be a must read/listen for everyone)

In 1968 a reporting apparatus that relied on nothing more than shoe leather and manila folders was created. Agents who normally did security checks, were in addition, given the task of monitoring dissent.  It covered millions of Americans conducting totally law abiding lives.

In 1975 Senator Frank Church headed a congressional commission to investigate widespread abuses by US intelligence and law enforcement agencies. Senator Church warned us about government’s power to turn surveillance technologies on its own citizens if it chose to.

"No American would have any privacy left, such is the capability to monitor everything - telephone conversations, telegrams, it doesn't matter. There would be no place to hide." -- Senator Frank Church in 1975
Well, I wonder what he would say about the power of information and surveillance technologies to watch and assess we, the people, in order to "protect" us.

Protect us?  Take a look at these declassified MK-Ultra project documents, and you will see the most Orwellian doublespeak definition of protection ever created.  We're still reeling from the heinous effects of  MK-Ultra and all of the other CIA operations or projects designed to "protect" us, that are most likely still going on today.

Orwellian Cyber Surveillance?

George Orwell warned us about doublethink, the power of holding two contradictory beliefs in one's mind simultaneously, and accepting both of them. He warned us of newspeak, designed not to extend but to diminish the range of thought, and this purpose was indirectly assisted by cutting the choice of words down to a minimum.  And he warned of never ending global wars and universal surveillance.  Although he was off by a few decades, his predictions appear to be unfolding as constitutionally protected forms of political opposition including speech, the written word, and the right to assemble could fall under the broad definition of terrorism.

Here's one example of  the universal surveillance Orwell spoke of. The Obama Administration is currently pushing a legislative proposal that will require "Internet-based communications providers to support wiretap capabilities in their products." They want to "add just four words -- "electronic communication transactional records" -- to a list of items that the law says the FBI may demand without a judge's approval"  In other words, the Obama Administration wants to wiretap the Internet.

Three of the proposed requirements:

  • Communications services that encrypt messages must have a way to unscramble them.
  • Foreign providers that do business inside the United States must establish a domestic office capable of performing intercepts.
  • Developers of software that enables peer-to-peer communication must redesign their services to allow interception.
However, the proposed Internet wiretapping law may be fundamentally incompatible with security.

One more Orwellian example:  the Office of the Director of National Intelligence appears to be on the verge of prevailing in an attempt to put some information it receives from other intelligence agencies beyond the reach of Freedom of Information Act requests.

Electronic Police State -- every surveillance camera recording, every email sent, every Internet site surfed, every post made, every check written, every credit card swipe, every cell phone ping… are all criminal evidence, and all are held in searchable databases. The individual can be prosecuted whenever the government wishes.

Unclassified Report on the President's Surveillance Program

President's Surveillance Program In the weeks following the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001, the President authorized the National Security Agency (NSA) to conduct a classified program to detect and prevent further attacks in the United States. As part of the NSA's classified program, several different intelligence activities were authorized in Presidential Authorizations, and the details of these activities changed over time. The program was reauthorized by the President approximately every 45 days, with certain modifications. Collectively, the activities carried out under these Authorizations are referred to as the "President's Surveillance Program" or "PSP."

National Pre-Crime Squad: Monitoring America's Neural Fabric

The Violent Radicalization and Homegrown Terrorism Prevention Act of 2007, which passed through Congress by a 404-6 margin in October of 2007 will make it legal for a National Commission to subpoena Americans thought to have "radical" ideas or "thought crimes".

If this bill passes the Senate and is signed into law, President Bush and Secretary of Homeland Security, Michael Chertoff will each appoint one member of the Commission, and split the appointment of the other eight positions equally between Congressional Democrats and Republicans. In total, the Commission would consist of six Republican appointees and four Democratic ones.

On the surface, the bill does not seem all that threatening. A university-based Center of Excellence will be set up where the Commission can devote itself to collecting and analyzing information from a number of sources, and recommend policy changes to Congress based on perceived threats. It all sounds very academic, so far. What's the big deal?

Well, this same Commission, as I mentioned before, will have subpoena power, the ability to collect evidence, and the authority to hold hearings, indiscriminately or based on the Commission member's belief system.

"The commission would have very broad powers. It could investigate anyone. It would create a public perception that whoever is being investigated by the Commission must be involved in subversive or illegal activities. It would give the appearance that whoever they are investigating is potentially a traitor or disloyal or a terrorist, even if all they were doing was advocating lawful views," -- Odette Wilkens, the executive director of the Equal Justice Alliance,
The main target will be the Internet, as it is seen as the weapon of choice because of its immense power and/or capacity to dispense "radical" thought bullets to our population at large. This is according to the originator, Jane Harman, former House Intelligence Committee Chairwoman (D-CA) of this legislation designed to monitor America's neural fabric in order to prevent domestic radicalization.
“There can be no doubt that the Internet is increasingly being used as a tool to reach and radicalize Americans and legal residents....

...no longer need to travel to foreign countries or isolated backwoods compounds to become indoctrinated by extremists or learn how to kill their neighbor. On the contrary, the Internet allows them to share violent goals and plot from the comfort of their own living rooms."
-- Jane Harman, former House Intelligence Committee Chairwoman(D-CA)
Unfortunately, this National "pre-crime" squad will be limited to using their five senses, unlike the "Pre-Cogs", or precognitive humans in the movie (Minority Report). Without the ability to tap into the thoughts of these so-called radicalized individuals, hell-bent on committing terrorist acts, one has to wonder what our nation's pre-crime or "pre-terror" commission will rely on to catch the "thought terrorist". Perhaps, they will turn to the "reliable" information that circulates in abundance about each one of us. You know, the information so easily corrupted by credit reporting agencies, identity theft, and human/computer error in general.

The bottom line is, rounding up Americans based on their belief system alone opens up a "Pandora's Box" of possibilities. The bill defines "violent radicalization," as the "process of adopting or promoting an extremist belief system for the purpose of facilitating ideologically based violence to advance political, religious, or social change." This definition could apply to an eclectic assortment of belief systems. Define "extremist". In addition, aren't all ideologies to advance political, religious, or social change prone to violence? How do you determine the "purpose" of the "extremist" belief system?

The ACLU chimed in of course:
Experience has demonstrated that in the event of a terrorist attack, the results of this report will likely be used to recommend the use of racial, ethnic and religious profiling. This will only heighten, rather than decrease, the spread of extremist violence. As an organization dedicated to the principles of freedom of speech, we cannot in good conscience support this report or any measure that might lead to censorship and persecution based solely on one’s personal beliefs.

The ACLU is concerned that identifying the Internet as a tool for terrorists will lead to censorship and regulated speech — especially since the Internet has become an essential communications and research tool for everyone. Indeed, some policy makers have advocated shutting down objectionable websites in violation of the First Amendment. It is an unworkable solution.
The “Violent Islamist Extremism, the Internet, and the Homegrown Terrorism Threat,” report will undoubtedly be used as justification for this what can only be called Orwellian legislation.
